Solid carbide planer blades from Wonkee Donkee Trend

CraftPro planer blades

The CraftPro blade  that is currently available is designed to fit a wide range of different portable power planers (see below under Professional planer blade PB/29 for the full list). They employ Trend’s CraftPro technology for a solid carbide blade that is 82mm long, 5.5mm wide, and 1.1mm thick.   

Professional planer blades

The Professional versions of power planer blades are made from high grade extended life carbide (D-Namic carbide), for superior quality.

Professional PB/22 planer blade

These spare blades are compatible with the Black & Decker P7102, P7103, and PL805 planer.  They  are 82mm long, 5mm wide, and 1.2mm thick.

Professional PB/25 planer blade 

These planer blades are 1.2mm thick, 5.9mm wide, and 80.5mm long. They  are compatible with AEG (Atlas Copco) 450 planers, DeWalt DW676K planers, and models MFF40, MFF80K, MFF80, MFF81, and MFF81K from ELU.

Professional PB/27 planer blade   

These blades are for use with Hitachi FU30 planers, and Holtz-Her 2286 planers. They  measure 92mm in length, 5.5mm in width, and 1.2mm in thickness.

Professional PB/28 planer blade   

These 75.5mm long blades are 5.5mm wide, and 1.1mm thick. They  are designed to fit the following planer - AEG (Atlas Copco) HTH 75; Black & Decker DN750, SR600, SR600K, BD750; Bosch 0590, P400, 1590, 1591; Haffner FH222; Holtz-Her 22320, 2223, 2121, 2330; Kress JETSTAR, EH6701, EH6702; Mafell HU75; Metabo 6375; Skil 98H.

Professional PB/29 planer blade  

These blades can be used in a large number of different portable electric planers, so they are particularly versatile. They measure 82mm x 5.5mm x 1.1mm.

Professional planer blade conversion kit

This conversion kit means PB/29 and CraftPro CR/PB29 blades can be used with even more planers. It replaces the setting plate on the planer. It contains a pair of plates that enables the blades to be fitted to the planers cutter block. It is needed for the following models -  Makita M102, 1125, 1100, 1900, 1900B, 1901, 1923B, 1923BD; Hitachi F20, FU20; Ryobi L1323A; Wolf/Kango 8614, 8057.

Caring for planer blades

When woodworking, you'll find pitch and resin can easily build up on your tools, which can reduce their effectiveness and dull cutting edges. To maintain your planer blades, and help to prolong their life, you should clean and store them properly.

Cleaning planer blades

Trend's tool and bit cleaner is an industrial grade cleaner that is ideal for use with planer blades, and also, router cutters, drill bits, sawblades, any many other common tools. It is designed to be used for a variety of applications, for home woodworker's tools to industrial saw blades. It works by breaking down the molecular bond of any dirt so that it lifts off, unlike other chemicals and citrus cleaners that eat away at dirt. This tool and bit cleaner also works as a lubricant and protects against corrosion and rust, as well as working to prevent further resin build up. It comes in a pump action spray bottle, so it's easy to use. This cleaner is non-toxic, biodegradable, non-flammable, and safe to use, but is still more powerful than many alternative chemicals.

Alternatively, Trend also produces a spray-on cutter cleaner that harmlessly and quickly removes caked in resin and helps to prevent rust. This pump action spray cleaner is available in bottles sized 100ml, 600ml, and 2500ml, and can be used with planer blades.
